~Making Scents~

Hannah Follis is a chemist that likes to create candles that are colored and that are scented. She likes to try new products at her home.
Getting a Nose in the Door- Hannah had first been interested in scented candles in high school when she had biology class. She went to college at the University of Minnesota. She majored in biology and minored in chemistry. Her course of study would to be a chemist researcher.
Masterful Scents- When Hannah is making candles she uses essential oils from fruits, flower, bark, or leaves and mixes them together with other chemicals to make the fragrance. She uses perfumers and platforms to create her candles. When she creates a candle she uses samples of fragrance, color, wax, container, and the appearance of the candle. She measures the abilities of the candles by putting them under different lights and different temperatures. If the candle doesn’t perform right she adds more or different chemicals. She uses different combinations that she thinks are possible and uses them fore a candle scent. She uses different kinds of fruit like coconut, milk mango, etc. These are some of the different scents that she likes to use. She likes to put different kinds of scents together to make a different scent.
